Vatican Increases Sanctions for Illegal Entry to Strengthen Security

The Vatican City State has introduced new, stricter sanctions for individuals attempting to illegally enter its territory, underscoring the importance of security in the heart of the Catholic Church. In a decree issued last month by the Holy See, penalties for violating the Vaticanâ₏ s strict security regulations have been considerably heightened, including both financial fines and prison sentences.
