'We need a miracle': 'Duck Dynasty' star Sadie Robertson calls on fans to 'storm the gates of heaven' with prayers for terminally ill child

With high hopes, the "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson once again put her celebrity status and star power to good use. To launch her cause, Robertson posted a photo of a little girl who has an inoperable brain tumor and begged her fans and followers to "storm the gates of heaven" in zealous prayer for a miracle.

MUNTINLUPA, PHILIPPINES (Catholic Online) - "This is Katie Joyce. Her family found out she has a brain tumor and its on her brain stem," Robertson wrote in the image caption. "The doctors say we need a miracle. The only thing that can fix this is if we storm the gates of heaven."
Robertson, runner-up in The "Dancing With the Stars" season 19 went on to encourage her fans to write messages of encouragement, and invited them to write prayer needs of their own. "I will pray for all of you as well."
The actress' social media post garnered more than 156,000 likes as well as more than 8,800 comments, with many people offering prayers for healing and sharing their own struggles with the "Duck Dynasty" star.
One person commented, offering hope for healing to Katie, "God bless this little bundle of joy and keep her in your arms and keep the family thinking positive and praying and also bless any others who need it!"
Another follower of Robertson's added, "God has a plan for her, her family, and her friends. Sending out lots of prayers for her. With God, everything is possible."
Sadie Robertson's comment feed now alternates between heart-felt prayers for the little girl and well-meaning wishes for other suffering people. The requests include everything from separated families to sick children.
